WE ARE PRESENCE ORIENTED

To be in the presence of God and others is to truly be ‘home’. We were created to be with Him and others from the beginning. We are purposeful about being in God’s presence as we gather as well as in our personal lives. This is where lasting spiritual growth occurs, where we are inspired, where we truly find what our souls need. We are also purposeful about being present where we are  – with each other, in our relationships and communities, allowing our presence as Kingdom carriers to affect our here-and-now.

WE LIVE PASSIONATELY

Passion is hard to define, but easy to recognize. It is attractive. “Committed, diligent, determined, and consistent focus” is the most concise definition we can come up with. So, we live the Kingdom life passionately. This requires energy – some chosen, but mostly from Holy Spirit. We are determined to find rest in God’s presence and apply practical boundaries in life so that we can live passionately for Him.

WE WALK PURPOSEFULLY

To walk purposefully is to put legs to passion – it is the plan, the framework for seeing the desired outcomes of our “committed, diligent, determined, and consistent focus”. We are committed to having purposeful practices, as Jesus did, that align with our values in order to move in the direction God is showing us.

WE LOVE EVERY PERSON

It’s easy to ‘love’ those like us. It’s easy to ‘love’ likeable people. ‘Love’. As our world defines it, it’s often a vapid façade. God’s love, the love Jesus embodied and gave as our example was real, practical, often uncomfortable and irrational, full of truth love. We love when we differ, disagree, and are made uncomfortable. Our love is always rooted in Truth – all other ‘love’ is wavering.

WE SERVE SELFLESSLY

Jesus was clear on the economy of the Kingdom. The greatest are those who serve. As carriers of His Spirit, we want to live by His example and teaching in serving one another, our communities and beyond. We do it to make His name great.

WE STEWARD FAITHFULLY

God has graced us beyond measure. All that we have is gifted to us – life, time, relationships, talent, finance… the list is unending. How we steward His graces (gifts) is up to us. We are a community that takes seriously the stewardship of all God has given us by submitting, them to His will and ways in order to please Him, knowing it all will lead to a more fulfilling and more productive life.
